How to Unlock Samsung Galaxy
Smartphones that are locked to a certain network can be a hassle especially when you reach into a point of changing your number for some particular reasons. If you search Google, you would find different kinds of companies offering their services to unlock your locked smartphone remotely. Meaning, these companies need only your IMEI or international mobile equipment identity, and your smartphone will be unlocked. However, remote unlocking can be very expensive but don’t fret because I will teach you a simple and straightforward technique on how to unlock your Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 smartphone for free. This technique is also applicable to the following Samsung Galaxy phones:
  • GT-S5360B
  • GT-S5360L
  • GT-S5360T
  • GT-S5363
  • GT-S5369
  • GT-B5510
  • GT-S5570I
First of all, you need to back up everything on your phone. You need to make sure that you have exported everything to an external storage like a memory card. Copy your contacts, images, memos or notes, etc. You may do this with Kies, Samsung’s official smartphone manager.

After backing up the important data from your phone, please read and analyze the following instructions properly to avoid damages.
1. Make sure that your phone is rooted. Rooted means that any applications will be able to access the root folders of your phones. By default, smartphones are designed to restrict any applications to explore the root folders of the device to avoid system errors. The root folders contain necessary data will be needed to run the phones. These data include the OS and the brain of your phone. If you think you haven’t rooted your Samsung Galaxy Y yet, then follow the following to root your smartphone.
Remember, make sure that your battery is charged at least 60%. You also need to make sure that the USB debugging capability of your Samsung Galaxy Y smartphone is enabled. Here’s how:

1. a. Assuming that you already enabled the USB debugging capability of your phone, you need todownload this zip file here. This file contain the update that will root your Samsung Galaxy Y smartphone.
1.b. Copy this zip file to an external storage.
1.c. Now turn off your phone.
1.d. Press the Home + Volume Up + Power buttons together to bring the phone in recovery mode.

1.f. Next, choose update from SD card (where the update zipped file is located). Use the volume down button to scroll down and press the Home button. Then choose the update zipped file and press the Home to begin the update.

1.g. After the update, choose reboot system now. That’s it, your Samsung Galaxy Y is now rooted. Now, let’s go unlock your phone!
2. Download the Galaxy Toolbox app from Google Playstore. Click here to download the app. After downloading,install it.
UPDATE: Here is a link to download the Galaxy Toolbox.  Save this file on your phone then you can install this offline.
3. Open the app then choose Network Unlock.

Wait until the process is finished and your Samsung Galaxy Y is now unlocked! Try it by inserting a SIM card from other network. Enjoy.
